Our monthly Jazz Club Nights are the first Thursday of the month, held at The Barn, behind the Honest Lawyer at 1 Point Road, Stoke. The Club Nights feature a local or visiting Jazz Band who will play for about an hour and then the floor is open for a jam session, with the Guest Band being available to support jamming artists.

Our Guest band for April is Back of Beyond. Craig Denham on Accordion, Keys, whistles, , foot percussion and vocals and multi-instrumentalist Nathan Torvik on guitar/bass and mandolin.
Their virtuosic musical chemistry is tangible and, with a love of improvisation, they're not afraid to dive into whatever musical rabbit holes might appear on any given gig. With a huge range of styles and influences to draw on from jazz flavours and improvised soundscapes, folk and world musics to blues and reggae, expect a night of lush musical richness all tinged with humour and not taking oneself too seriously.

Our Guest Band will play for about an hour and then the floor is open for a jam session, with the Guest Band being available to support jamming artists. We will have a drum kit available for the jam session.

Our aim is to increase performance space and diversity of jazz within our community. We also seek to foster a greater appreciation of jazz and expand our local jazz community.

Nelson Jazz Club Members will have a discounted entry to each Club Night.
