Who can become a member?

Membership of the Nelson Jazz Club is open to all people with an interest in the many forms of Jazz (both musicians and supporters).

How much does it cost?

Membership costs $20 for both musician and supporting member categories (free for school and uni students), and lasts from the date of joining until the end of March the following year.

Support the Club to organise music gigs, events, and youth jazz education around Nelson!

Musicians

  • Opportunities for connecting with others who also love to play, promote, and listen to jazz

  • Eligibility to gig at NJC-sponsored events and venues such as the Jazz on the Green series at Founders during the summer

  • Promotion of your band on our website and facebook pages

  • Eligibility for membership of the NJC Committee

Supporters

  • Help with the financial costs of running the club.

  • Opportunities to volunteer at NJC events

  • Eligibility for membership of the NJC Committee

  • Participation at Jazz Club Social Nights
